Join the Harrisburg H.O.G. for this month’s dinner ride to Black N Bleu, 6108 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg. John Rietheimer will be the ride leader to this venue. Join ride leader, Nick Bonfanti, for a short ride, lasting 1 ½ to 2 hours in duration. No specific itinerary will be followed for this ride, and the place of departure and destination will be SHV-D. Plan to leave SVH-D at 10 a.m. and return at approximately noon. Please be prepared and arrive with a full tank of gas. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for a ride meeting concerning safety and a discussion regarding the ride.

Saturday, June 4, 2022 – June Summer Ride Series (SRS)
Join ride leader, Scott Boeckelmann, on a ride to our southern locations for this month’s SRS. Our lunch stop for this day will be at the Border Café, located near Newark, Delaware. After lunch, we will also stop at Scoops Ice Cream in New Castle, Delaware for dessert. This 185-mile ride will have four opportunities for fuel stops. Join ride leader, Bill Tull, for an all-day ride through the valleys and mountains of Central Pennsylvania. Plan to leave SVH-D at 9:00 a.m. and return at approximately 6:00 p.m. Please be prepared and arrive with a full tank of gas. We will begin with a short ride on I81 to PA Route 994. Our first stop will be at a gas station and convenience store in Orbisonia, approximately 81 miles and nearly 2 hours into the ride. Leaving our rest stop, we will ride toward the west end of Lake Raystown. From there, we will ride to Martinsburg then on to our destination, Luigetta’s Sandwich Shop in Hollidaysburg. This portion of the ride is approximately 61 miles. For lunch, may I suggest either a large or small cheese steak hoagie with the salad on the sandwich or a cheese steak salad. The menu for Luigetta’s Sandwich Shop can be viewed at Luigettas Sandwich Shop. Before continuing, we will stop at a Sheetz for gas if we have Sportsters on the ride. After lunch, we will proceed toward Sinking Valley and onto Bellefonte, finally stopping at Sheetz on the other side of Centre Hall. This portion of the ride is approximately 68 miles. This will be the last stop before riding back to Harrisburg on PA 322, approximately 66 miles. The overall ride is approximately 280 miles round trip.

The Brewhouse Grille has 38 beers on tap, a menu that goes beyond typical "bar food," and an easy-going atmosphere. Susquehanna Valley Harley-Davidson is partnering with me, Kelsey Wagner, to host a Charity Ride for the family of Ariella Coyne. A 5 year old from Palmyra Pennsylvania who was diagnosed at 18 months with retinoblastoma. A form of eye cancer that unfortunately recently spread to her bone marrow.
100% of proceeds will go to the family to help cover medical, travel, food and any other expenses with Ella. Ride registration starts at 9am on the day of the ride. $10 per person. Cash only accepted at registration. Additional donations always accepted. 10am will be rider meeting. 10:15 ride begins. We will be cruising down RT 22 towards the Gap and cutting up through Hershey/ Palmyra area. Driving directly past Ariella's home then back to the dealership for the after event. Food, music and vendors will be at the event. Event will run until 3pm and IS open to the public! You don't have to do the ride to come to the after party!!

No specific itinerary will be followed for this ride; just hopping on our bikes to ride, possibly stopping for ice cream. The place of departure and destination will be SHV-D. Plan to leave SVH-D at 11:00 a.m. and return at approximately 1:00 p.m. Please be prepared and arrive with a full tank of gas. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for a ride meeting concerning safety and a discussion regarding the ride.
This 9-day ride will visit West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Going south, we will ride over several mountain passes enjoying the Appalachian Mountains. Traveling to North Carolina and returning home, we will ride the Snake and Rattler in Tennessee and North Carolina. While in North Carolina, we will ride parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tail of the Dragon, the Cherohala Skyway and ride over the Smoky Mountains. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 – Dinner Ride to Fire & Ice Smokehouse & Creamery
Join the Harrisburg H.O.G. for some awesome BBQ and creamery ice cream. Scott Boeckelmann will lead this month’s dinner ride to Fire & Ice Smokehouse & Creamery in Halifax. Join ride leaders, Steve and Lisa Winters, for a scenic road trip through Lancaster and Bucks Counties to see the covered bridges. Just the sight of covered bridges brings to mind thoughts of old charm and romance. Did you know there are over 25 covered bridges in Lancaster County and 12 covered bridges in Bucks County? Unfortunately, we won’t have time to see them all.
Plan to leave SVH-D at 10:00 a.m. and return at approximately 3:00 p.m. Please be prepared and arrive with a full tank of gas. This scenic ride has us leaving Harrisburg traveling on country roads to Manheim in northern Lancaster County. From there, we will travel along river roads to Safe Harbor in Conestoga Township in Lancaster County. We will ride through Lancaster, stopping at the Sheetz in Marietta for fuel and a break. On the way home, if time permits, we will also stop for ice cream because ice cream is always a good idea!

Saturday, July 16, 2022 – Ride to Mexico
Join the Harrisburg H.O.G. as ride leader, Scott Boeckelmann, takes us on a ride to Mexico – Mexico, PA, that is! We will have lunch at Harshbarger’s Sub n’ Malt, a 1950s style restaurant. After lunch, we will head north for a scenic and twisty ride to the Mifflinburg area then south down Rt 104. This 155-mile ride will include two fuel stops.
